By submitting the intake form or otherwise using The Chavrusa Platform ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service collects information about your Torah-study interests, availability, and learning preferences and uses it to suggest or arrange a compatible chavrusa (study partner). Matching during the initial cohort is performed manually by the operator; it is not an automated or algorithmic guarantee of compatibility.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By submitting the intake form, you represent that you are 18 or older and that the information you provide is accurate.
The Service does not conduct criminal background checks or independently verify the identity, character, or intentions of any user. You are solely responsible for exercising discretion in communicating with and meeting any person matched to you through the Service. We recommend arranging your first session in a public place, community setting, or over video call before agreeing to a private in-person meeting.
The Service is a facilitator only. We are not responsible for the conduct, statements, or actions of any user, whether online, by phone, or in person, and we are not a party to any relationship formed between matched users.
You agree not to use the Service to harass, deceive, or misrepresent yourself to another user, and not to submit false information on the intake form.
The Service is currently provided free of charge. If paid tiers are introduced in the future, updated terms describing pricing, billing, and refunds will be presented to you before any charge is made, and continued use after that update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty that a match will be found, that a match will be compatible, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of the Service will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any harm arising from interactions with another user, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
We may remove you from a cohort or decline to match you at our discretion, including if we believe information you submitted is false or that you pose a risk to another user.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
