When you submit the intake form, we collect:
We use the information you submit to evaluate potential chavrusa matches during the current cohort and to contact you about your match status. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it to third parties.
The intake form is processed by Formspree, a third-party form backend. Your submission is transmitted to and stored by Formspree on our behalf; their handling of that data is governed by Formspree's own privacy policy. This site's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address as part of that request.
We retain intake submissions for as long as needed to run the current matching cohort and a reasonable period afterward for follow-up. You can request deletion at any time (see Section 7).
If we identify a potential match for you, we share limited information from your intake submission (e.g. first name, subject interest, availability) with the other matched user so you can both decide whether to proceed. We will not share your email address or other contact information without your confirmation first.
You can request a copy of the information we have about you, or request that we delete it, at any time by emailing thechavrusaplatform@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
The Service is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we've collected information from a minor, we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
